QiblaFind does not sell personal data, and does not use tracking cookies. This policy covers what happens when you use qiblafind.net.
Location & motion access
When you let the site detect your location, your browser uses your coordinates to calculate your Qibla bearing and local prayer times. Location is also sent to our server for city lookup. City lookup results are cached for a week under coordinates rounded to two decimal places. Device motion and orientation readings stay in your browser.
What we store
Preferences you set — theme, calculation method, Asr convention, last-searched city — are kept in your browser's local storage so the site remembers them on your next visit. They stay on your device.
If you register for optional prayer reminders, our server stores your push subscription details, location, timezone, and language to schedule them. Browser push providers deliver the reminders at prayer times.
Third-party services
The Mosque Finder uses map data from OpenStreetMap contributors and map tiles from OpenFreeMap to display nearby mosques. Loading these may expose your general location to those services per their own privacy practices; we don't control or receive that data. Browser push providers deliver optional prayer reminders.
